Dublin Core Metadataset:
- content related
- usable for all kinds of electronically documents
- also suitable for classical libraries
- consists of only 15 elements (author, title, ...)
- is defined independent of a specific encoding
- in HTML 2.0 encoding is included in the META tag e.g. <META NAME="DC.Creator" Content="author">
